Ribbon Cuttings

The Orange Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau is excited to help you celebrate you and your business on your grand opening and important milestones with a ribbon cutting ceremony!

Standard ribbon cuttings are only scheduled on Wednesdays before 4pm - and only available to current Chamber members.

So what happens at a ribbon cutting?

The Orange Chamber is essentially joining you and your party!

Orange Chamber Roles & Responsibilities:

• Create a Facebook event, adding you as a co-host
• Invite Chamber Ambassadors & Board Members
• Invite local elected officials to join the celebration and present certificates (We cannot guarantee that they will be in attendance on the day of your ribbon cutting.)
• Add your ribbon cutting to our website calendar
• Provide ceremonial scissors & ribbon during the event
• Publish photos of the event on the Chamber’s social media
• Provide a schedule of events for the ceremony portion

Premium Ribbon Cutting Add-on ($300):

• Flexibility in event date (option of scheduling a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)
• Professional photographer
• Album with digital photographs 
• One to two minute video reel for social media, adding the business as a collaborator
• Facebook post with professional photos, tagging the business
• Dedicated eblast to newsletter subscribers (over 6,900 and a 40% open rate)
• Ribbon cutting graphic crafted in-house 
• List of preferred vendors (many of whom offer discounts to chamber members)
• Press Release announcing the ribbon cutting

Generally, the following are duties reserved for the business to do on their own.

Business Roles & Responsibilities:

• Contact the Chamber at least 3 weeks before the preferred date and time to book a Ribbon Cutting.
• Invite your customers, clients, vendors, et al.
• Decide who will cut the ribbon and give a brief overview of your business during the ceremony
• Supply refreshments and/or light bites to encourage guests to stay after the ceremony
• Take the opportunity to share coupons, host an opportunity drawings and/or distribute marketing materials. Great time to gather business cards as well!

Please email info@orangechamber.com with a requested date to schedule your ribbon cutting ceremony. We ask that you request dates at least 4 weeks in advance. Once it's on our schedule, we will send you a confirmation.
